Penguins
What’s to say? They are the cutest.
Pure Love
Above is my favorite penguin photo (and possibly my all time favorite). It has won several competitions, was published in Paris-Match (a leading French magazine), and was part of a book given to each participant of the Paris Climate Change Summit.
The four Adelie penguins below are also among my favorites. My husband and I have named them Huey, Dewey, Louie and Chewey.
Penguins seem to have perfected the art of the absurd positions and behavior, especially when interpreted from a human point of view (a.k.a. misunderstood).
King Penguins. Their interactions are worth watching for hours. They are so funny!
Nothing like grooming in a snowfall after a walk in the mud.
In as a group, out as a group.
The ocean provides food, cleaning, and fun. Penguins may be goofy on land, but they are like rockets under water.
King and Gentoo penguins share the beach with no problem. The Gentoos are charismatic and mix well with other penguins and seals.
Penguins on a mission: a Gentoo above and Adelie below, carrying a rock to his nest.
Touch Down!
The Adelies can have a pretty humorous attitude. The Macaroni penguins below just look funny!
By now, you have probably guessed: I love penguins!
