Alpine Hiking Near Plateau des Lacs
Our first day of hiking in the Alps, not far from Bourg d'Oisans. We went to Plateau des Lacs, above Ornon.

Clouds building up. We ended up getting caught in a thunderstorm and downpour. It was actually quite nice, coming from California. Rain feels like such a novelty!
Even with threatening weather, it’s just fabulous to be here.
“Colchiques des Alpes” flowers everywhere. They are beautiful, but quite toxic, unfortunately.
